Ernest L. "Ernie" Wilson, LTCIS, Graduated NWC (Knights) Class of 60, attended Central State University, studying marketing & architecture. He left college before graduating to help take care of his widowed mother. 

Ernie's first job out of school was in restaurant equipment and supply sales for 8 ½ years and then spent 18 years selling services and drilling prospects in the oil and gas industry.

In the first quarter of 99, the price of oil plummeted to $9 a barrell and Ernie was tired of riding the roller coaster oil business. He decided to do something different and in his middle fifties knew that the choice was going to be limited.
 
Ernie, ventured into long term care insurance, because he had, in 1996, purchased comprehensive Long Term Care insurance policies for he and his wife.  Ernie understood what possibly losing everything to the cost of long term care could be. Ernie's wife's dad died after four years battling ALS, Lou Gehrig's Disease leaving Ernie's mother-in-law virtually penniless.
 
Their three daughters took weekend turns helping bath, wipe, wash and catherize their dad which was humiliating for all of them. Ernie wasn't about to let that happen to them. Being a burden on their sons and grandchildren and working all of their life to lose everything was not in the cards. Such risking was for gamblers and not for them. LTC Insurance was definitely the smart thing to do! 
 
LTC insurance had to be affordable and compared to the cost of long term care, it defininitely was. If care was ever needed, Ernie wanted his first choice to be able to stay at home and with a LTC insurer who pays home care from day 1. 

In Ernie's first nine months as a LTC insurance specialist he qualified as "rookie of the year" along with the national title of "rising star" and earning him and his wife a trip to Prague, C.R. Ernie's first full year, 2000, he qualified as Master Agent, #25th in the nation winning a trip for he and his wife on the very first "Leading Producer's 2001 Diamond Experience" to Turkey and Greece. In 2001, Ernie again hit the numbers, qualifying for a 2002 trip for them to go to Venice, Italy and in 2002 qualifying for the 2003 Tahiti Seafari. Ernie has a long term care book of business over $1,300,000 and earned the recognition of Emeritus Master Agent. In 2003 he was accepted as a  "Million Dollar Round Table" member.

His LTCi clients come from a large variety of professions, businesses, careers as well as many retired individuals and couples.
